3. Equipment or devices used for communication like phones, landline phones, fax etc.
4. Household equipment's like vacuum cleaner, microwave ovens, washing machines, air conditioners etc.
5. Audio, visual components such as VCRs, Stereo equipment etc.

One of the major source contributing to increase the e-waste count in India is the waste being dumped by US and many more countries.

The UN warns that the growing use of electronic devices will result in an increase of e-waste being dumped illegally in developing countries, causing harm to the environment and those who dismantle the devices.

E-waste contains toxic materials like lead, mercury, and flame retardants, and the volume of e-waste is expected to grow by 33% in the next 4 years, with China and the US being the largest generators.
